7 Quick Tips for Using Facebook Properly in Your Network Marketing Business

7 Quick Tips for Using Facebook Properly in Your Network Marketing Business

Expert Author Jason Mann
Network Marketing business owners have discovered the power of Facebook in regards to prospecting for their respective companies. Facebook can be a double edged sword for the Network Marketing business owner.
On one hand it is powerful for networking, connecting with potential business associates, and getting your name out there.
On the other hand people abuse this power. Spamming their links on walls of famous Network Marketing professionals, sending messages to everyone and their mother, literally thinking that everyone is a prospect for their outstanding deal.
Here are 7 quick tips for using Facebook properly to improve your Fan page (and results as a Network Marketer).
1. Don't spam. Do not post your links on other people's walls. Do not post your links all over groups that are irrelevant to your business. Don't spam. Self explanatory.
2. Don't tag people that aren't in pictures or videos.
3. Do put tabs on your fan page that lead to your email list, newsletter, business opportunity, sales pages. Advertise these tabs using PPC on Facebook.
4. Use your picture and not your companies Picture. You're a network marketer. People don't just join the company, they join you. Show them who you are. Don't hide behind a company logo or product image.
5. Connect with people properly. Sending messages is great. Adding friends is great. However, messaging everyone under the sun with, "Saw your post on so and so's fan page, I thought it was awesome! Here is my deal. Link."
Don't do that. Contact people, talk to them, get to them a little before popping the question. Keep your messaging campaigns to like 3 or 4 per day. Facebook frowns upon sending a lot of messages and/or friend requests in a row.
6. Actually use your fan page to engage your fans.
Posting a link to your business opportunity every 20 minutes is annoying. Posting your products every 20 minutes is annoying. People want to interact with you. Give them the option to do that.
Ask a simple question that requires a one word response. Doing this is an excellent way to get people to engage your post.
Example: In ONE WORD describe what inspired you to become a business owner.
7. Be consistent.
Posting once a month is fine if you only post once a month. If you post 50 times a week then suddenly disappear for a year your fans will also leave.
Posting 3-5 times per day is a good benchmark to start with. Mix it up. Use pictures, videos, and links to your tabs or outside websites.
Networking using Facebook can be highly effective if you mind your P's and Q's. Respect people's space. Respect their time. If you do those things you will do fine on Facebook.
